The value of digital transformations that emerges through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications is an area that is receiving increased attention. The great advances of machine learning and deep learning have paved the way for new and evolved business applications based on AI. The knowledge coming from cognitive computing and natural language processing can lead to new AI business applications. AI gives the opportunity to change how we interact with technology and how to generate value from it with an impact on numerous fields. For example, business, marketing, information systems, business strategy, supply chain management, services, retail, educational and learning systems, social media, finance, information systems development and more. The applications are endless, as researchers and practitioners are working to understand how to better use click-stream data, eye-tracking, electroencephalography (EEG), video, wristband data and more in order to improve user experience in different settings, which in turn may improve productivity and performance. Similarly, facial, image, or speech recognition has been used to increase business value and lead to improved business strategies.
We need to to recognize the value that can emerge through different means and can be captured through different measures. Following the rapid development and global interest in the area of AI this track seeks papers that can bring together relevant scientific contributions in the broad field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Information Management, with specific focus on AI and their applications. Our goal is to improve our understanding regarding the transfer and diffusion of information technology within AI applications and services in different contexts. Papers employing quantitative, qualitative, and/or critical methods are welcomed. Areas of interest include, amongst others, the following:
